The Particle Theory states that: All matter is made up of tiny particles The particles are moving all the time There are forces of attraction holding the particles together These forces vary in strength in different states of matter.

Acids are substances turn litmus paper red and have a pH of less than 7. Alkalis are substances that turn litmus paper blue and have a pH more than 7.
